String Academy 2
String Academy 2 provides orchestral instruction and performance opportunities to students who play the violin, viola, cello or string bass. It is a great follow-up for students fresh out of String Academy 1 or for students with one year of strings experience. The ensemble meets Mondays from 4-5:30pm at the Arts and Technology Academy (ATA), 1650 W. 22nd Avenue in Eugene and is lead by Sarah Kreger. The participation fee for String Academy 2 is $300, however, assistance with participation fees is available.

Important policy information! All members of String Academy 2 are expected to play the instrument they play in their Arts Umbrella ensemble in a band or orchestra at their school. School band and orchestra teachers will be contacted to verify participation in a school group. A very limited number of waiver options are available regarding this policy. Also, please make sure you understand the commitment you are making, as attendance requirements will be strictly enforced.
